To His Love

Ivor Gurney was one of the most talented of the Great War poets and one of the early twentieth century’s greatest British composers.  His work is celebrated in this recital, written for Chatham House by Gurney’s biographer Dr Kate Kennedy. His story is dramatized through his own letters, his music and his poetry.
